About

Maryland Literary Review was created in the summer of 2018 by Maryland native Nathan Leslie (publisher and editor).  MLR is a biannual literary magazine featuring top-tier literary fiction, poetry and nonfiction.  In addition, we will feature occasional blog posts.  In 2019 we hope to publish E-books, also. Maryland Literary Review is an online only publication.

Nathan Leslie was the fiction editor for Pedestal Magazine for five years and he has also edited fiction for The Potomac and Hamilton Stone Review.  He was interviews editor for Prick of the Spindle, co-edited Best of the Web for two years and also co-edited the anthology Shale.  See also:  Nathanleslie.net

The editors ask for first serial rights to any piece selected. At the time of publication, all rights revert back to the author; however, Maryland Literary Review retains the right to republish the piece(s) in any subsequent issue or anthology.
